What this covers

This page explains what RuufPro collects when you use a quote tool at calc.ruufpro.com, on a roofer's own website, or on one of RuufPro's own cost-estimate pages, and what we do with it. RuufPro is made by Feedback Footprint LLC, based in Bradenton, Florida. If you have questions, email waldo12397@gmail.com.

There are two kinds of quote tools, and they work differently. Read both sections below so you know which one applies to you.

What we collect

A roofer's own calculator (their link, their website embed, or a site we built for them)

You type in your address. We look up your roof size using satellite data. Before we show you a price, you give us your name and email, and you can choose to give us your phone number too — it's optional. You also check a box saying it's okay for that one roofer to contact you. Your information goes only to that roofer.

RuufPro's own cost pages (calc.ruufpro.com/roof-cost/…)

These pages work the same way, with three differences. First, your phone number is required, not optional. Second, the consent box says more than "it's okay for the roofer to contact you" — by checking it, you agree that RuufPro and up to 4 roofing companies matched to your project, and their partners, may call, text, and email you about roofing, including with automated dialing, a prerecorded or AI voice, and text messages, even if you're on a Do Not Call list. Checking the box is never required to buy anything, and you can reply STOP at any time to cancel texts. The exact legal wording you agree to is:

"By checking this box and clicking Get My Estimate, I agree by electronic signature that RuufPro and up to 4 roofing companies matched to my project (see partner list) and their partners may call, text, and email me at the contact info I entered about roofing services, including with automated dialing, prerecorded or AI voice, and SMS, even if I'm on a Do Not Call list. Consent isn't required to buy anything. Msg & data rates may apply; reply STOP to cancel."

Third, we may share or sell your lead as described in "Who else sees it" below. The companies who may contact you are listed at /partners/ — check that page any time to see who's currently on it.

If you're a roofer signing up

You give us your email, your business name, and your prices, so we can build your quote tool. You can add a phone number if you want text alerts for new leads, and you check a box agreeing to get those texts. If you sign in with Google, we store the name and email Google gives us. We use one cookie to keep you signed in — we don't use advertising cookies on your account.

How we use it

We use a homeowner's information to send their price and contact details to the roofer (for a roofer's own calculator) or to the matched companies described above (for RuufPro's own cost pages), so they can follow up. We use a roofer's information to run their quote tool, send them their leads, and email them a confirmation when they sign up.

What we record for a RuufPro cost-page lead

When you request a price on one of RuufPro's own cost pages and submit the form, we record more than we do for a roofer's own calculator, because we're the ones responsible for proving you consented. That record includes:

Your name, email, phone number, and address
The roof size and price we showed you
The exact consent text above and its version, plus the date and time you agreed to it
Your IP address and browser (user agent)
The page you were on and the site that sent you there (for example, a search engine or an AI assistant)
Your address's map location — latitude/longitude, ZIP code, city, and state
When our TrustedForm service (run by a company called ActiveProspect) is turned on, a TrustedForm certificate — this records how the form was filled out, as proof of your consent

We keep this consent record for at least 5 years — it does not currently expire. We keep the lead itself (name, email, phone, address, price shown) for 180 days in our system, and it's emailed to the matched roofer and/or to Hannah when it comes in.

Text messages

If a roofer turns on lead texts, we send them a text message when a new lead comes in, using Twilio, the texting service we use to send messages. A roofer can reply STOP to any of these texts to stop getting them, or HELP for help.

That opt-in data and consent — the roofer's own texting sign-up — is never shared with or sold to third parties or affiliates for any purpose, including marketing. This is separate from a homeowner's lead from a RuufPro cost page, which may be shared or sold as described below. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply.

Cookies and analytics

Roofer accounts use one cookie to keep you signed in. We don't run advertising cookies. We use Google Analytics on our marketing pages (the home page, docs, this page, the Terms page, and our roof-cost pages) to see how the site is used. Google Analytics sets cookies in your browser, and we turn on IP anonymization so your full IP address isn't stored. Google Analytics is never loaded on the quote-tool pages themselves (a roofer's embedded calculator or a RuufPro cost-page form), so filling out a quote form does not add to your Google Analytics data. We also use Cloudflare Turnstile, a bot-check tool, on some forms.

Who else sees it

For a roofer's own calculator, we don't sell homeowner or roofer information, and we don't share it except with the services that help us run RuufPro: Google (maps, sign-in, and analytics), Cloudflare (hosting, bot protection), Resend (sending emails), Twilio (sending texts), and OpenAI (helping write website copy inside a roofer's dashboard). Each of those companies only sees what it needs to do its job.

For RuufPro's own cost pages, we may share your lead with a roofing company we match you to, and we may sell it to a roofing lead network in exchange for payment. A lead network may pass your lead on to its own buyers, including companies we have no relationship with. Who may contact you is listed on our partners page, which we date and update whenever a partner is added. We also use ActiveProspect (TrustedForm) to record proof of consent on these leads. Roofer-calculator leads (the section above) are never sold.

Satellite and map data

We measure roofs using Google's maps and satellite data, plus building outline data from Microsoft's Building Footprints (licensed under CDLA Permissive 2.0). Because we use Google's maps data, Google's own privacy policy also applies to that part of the tool: see Google's Privacy Policy and the Google Maps Platform Terms of Service.

How long we keep it

Roof measurements are kept for up to 30 days so the same address doesn't need to be measured twice, then cleared. A lead from a roofer's own calculator (a homeowner's name, email, phone, address, the price shown, and their consent) is kept so a roofer can always find them. A lead from RuufPro's own cost pages is kept 180 days in our system and is emailed to the matched roofer and/or Hannah; the separate consent record described above is kept at least 5 years and does not currently expire. A roofer's account information is kept for as long as their account exists.

Your choices

To have your information deleted, email us from the email address on your account: waldo12397@gmail.com. You can reply STOP to any text message to stop getting texts from us or from a matched roofing company, and that company must stop. If you'd rather not be contacted at all, email waldo12397@gmail.com and we'll pass your removal request to any roofer or lead network your information was sent to. If your lead has already been sold to a lead network, that network has its own privacy policy, and once you tell us to stop, we'll pass your request along to it too. A roofer can unsubscribe from emails at any time.

Children

RuufPro is not for anyone under 18 years old. We don't knowingly collect information from children.

Changes

We may update this page as RuufPro changes. We'll change the "Last updated" date above when we do.
